A Community Dietitian promotes good health through proper eating. They work in public health clinics, health and fitness clubs, and government and non-profit agencies, where they create nutritional programs to prevent diseases and promote health for different populations. They assess individual and group dietary needs, develop meal plans, monitor the effect of dietary changes, and educate people about the importance of good nutrition. They may also conduct research on the latest nutritional science discoveries and trends.
A Community Dietitian must have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as they often work with diverse communities and must be able to explain complex nutritional principles in a simple and engaging way.
