Job Details

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian for a 13 week travel assignment in Columbus, OH. Required Qualifications:

  • One year of recent experience as a registered dietitian
  • Valid Dietitian license in compliance with state regulations
  • Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Cer.A.T ( ASATT )
  • Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position

Summary:

Registered Dietitians provide expert advice on food and nutrition to support patients' health and well-being. They assess dietary needs, develop personalized nutrition plans, and monitor outcomes to manage chronic conditions, address malnutrition, or meet specific health goals.

Essential Work Functions:

  • Evaluate appropriateness of diet order for diagnosis and recommend diet order changes as indicated
  • Instruct patients and patient families on dietary principles, restrictions, and practical strategies to achieve health goals per physician diet order
  • Conduct patient visitations including screening for nutrition concerns relating to malnutrition, tube feeding, TPN, and special diets related to disease
  • Develop personalized nutrition plans and implement interventions based on knowledge of the patient's current health
  • Monitor the effectiveness of nutrition plans, adjusting as needed to improve outcomes.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to include physicians, nurses, and aides
  • Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice for Registered Dietitians

Required Essential Skills:

  • Critical thinking, service excellence and good interpersonal communication skills
  • The ability to read, write, & communicate in the English language is required
  • Ability to read/comprehend written instructions, follow verbal instructions, and proficiency in PC skills
  • Physical Abilities - Remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), pushing, pulling, bending
  • Interpersonal Skills - To work effectively with a variety of personnel (professional and ancillary) to present a positive attitude and professionalism
  • Technical/Motor Skills - Ability to grasp, fine manipulation, pushing/pulling and able to move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment.
  • Mental Requirements - Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public, customers, and meeting deadlines under pressure. Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally as well as working without assistance from other personnel. Must be able to contend with irregular activity schedules occasionally and continuous concentration to detail
  • Sensory - Visual acuity, ability to effectively communicate.
