APRN / CNP (Mid-level Provider)

** $10,000 sign on bonus

Provides direct patient care for the Pawhuska Family Medical Clinic

  1. Conducts patient evaluations that include a focused or extensive medical history and physical exam and uses this information to form a plan of testing and/or treatment and implement that/those plan(s).
  2. Prescribes and administers vaccinations to immunize patient from communicable diseases
  3. Promotes health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
  4. Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination and diagnoses condition of patient.
  5. Consults and refers patients to medical specialist for consultant services when necessary for the patient’s well-being
  6. Must be covered under malpractice insurance either privately or through Pawhuska Hospital Inc.
  7. Performs all other associated duties as directed by the Chief of Staff or Administrator.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s Degree in a Healthcare-related field

Three (3) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

BLS, PALS, and ACLS required upon hire certifications, and the minimum ATLS Audits

Demonstrates initiative, ability to work with others, and professional judgment

Education and/or Experience

Ability to operate and handle many kinds of complex equipment.

Ability to demonstrate clinical competence and maintain current knowledge in caring for pediatric through geriatric patients.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

**Required educational levels call for proof at the time of hire.

2 years previous hospital experience preferred.

Emergency Room experience required.

Licensure/Certification

Current, unrestricted licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oklahoma

BLS, PALS, and ACLS required upon hire certifications, and the minimum ATLS Audits

*Proof of all required License(s) and Certification(s) is due at time of hire.

English is the primary language

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to interpret and write reports, business correspondence, and policy/procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, physicians, clients, customers, employees, the board, and the public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Ability to compute ratio, percent, and rate, as well as the ability to create and interpret graphs.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, and/or diagram form.

Ability to define and solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in statistical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
