Job Description Summary

This is an active/working, hands-on supervisory role.
The Outlet Supervisor is responsible for providing prompt, professional and hands-on food & beverage service to restaurant & bar guests while overseeing outlet staff and operations to maximize profits and ensure guest satisfaction at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

- Shift Management: Lead and supervise the restaurant/bar team during shifts, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to service standards.

- Setup and Maintenance: Oversee the setup of the bar and dining areas, ensuring they are well-organized and welcoming for guests.

- Drink Service Expertise: Familiarize yourself with our beverage offerings, including regular and specialty cocktails, wines, and beers, while adhering to established service guidelines.

- Staff Oversight: Assign side-work and tasks to team members, ensuring completion and maintaining high performance standards.

- Pre-Shift Meetings: Conduct regular pre-shift briefings to communicate daily objectives and updates to the team.

- Guest Relations: Address guest comments and complaints promptly and effectively to ensure satisfaction and a positive dining experience.

- On-the-Floor Presence: Stay active on the floor during peak hours to support staff and enhance guest interactions.

- Training & Development: Observe, mentor, and provide constructive feedback to staff on service techniques and standards.

- Quality Control: Examine food preparation and beverage presentation to uphold quality standards.

- Operational Maintenance: Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of F&B outlets, preparing maintenance requests as needed.

- Cost Control: Monitor labor costs, payroll, and inventory management, ensuring efficient use of resources.

- Compliance: Adhere to all liquor liability laws, including the prohibition of serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.

- Safety Procedures: Understand and implement emergency procedures, including CPR, and actively work to prevent accidents.

- Collaboration: Build strong relationships with colleagues and foster a respectful and inclusive work environment.

Hotel-Specific Functions:

- Ability to serve in various roles (server, bartender, host, expo) as needed.

- Lead by example, effectively handling disciplinary situations with employees.

- Communicate proactively with all departments to resolve issues and enhance guest experiences.

- Open and close all outlets, including managing employee cash banks.

- Flexibility to assist in other areas of the hotel as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender/server; previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred.

- Proven track record of delivering outstanding guest and client experiences.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to take decisive action.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a patient and diplomatic approach to guest interactions.

- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail.

- Professional appearance and demeanor.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
